Fifi's Harbin Travelogue, Entry No. 6: Final Day

Last, but not least, the conclusion!

The last day. We checked out of the ibis hotel. We left our luggages at the hotel for the staff to take care of. Then, we went to the Jile Temple. That was the coldest day of our trip.

It was blistering cold. We took a photo in front of this gate because it includes both Fifi and my Chinese names!

There we bowed to many Buddhas for luck. Before we went to another Buddha, we went to the service center to warm up. We showed respect to the last Buddha that was standing and gold.

We went back to the hotel to get our luggages. Then, my dad called Didi to take us to the airport. At the airport I changed my pants because in Chengdu it wasn't that cold. We flew home.

And that concludes our latest adventure!

Merry Christmas to All! Tiger Park

On the seventh day it was Christmas. My family and I went to the Siberian Tiger Park. We got there in the morning. My mom bought tickets for the tiger cart and a show. While my mom was waiting in line to buy the tickets, me and my brother admired the stuffed tigers

When my mom finished buying the tickets, we went into the tiger cart. I saw tigers, white tigers, and even lions!

After riding the tiger cart, we went to see the tigers by ourselves. My mom used 10 yuan to buy raw meat for me to feed the tiger.

Then, we went to the show. There were people, dancing animals performing tricks, and tigers being beaten up. It was a good show, but I didn't like the part when the tigers got beaten up. I ate cotton candy while watching the show.

I've always liked this trick!

The way animals get treated in these shows in China is pretty depressing...

Acrobatic shows are still good though!

Sad to see such majestic creatures obviously in fear...

After the show, my dad pulled me and my brother on the sled in the snow. I forgot to mention that during the show I got a balloon and a toy from a clown. I lost the toy on the way back home.

I took a tour on the bus around the city. I had a very Merry Christmas.

This wasn't actually a tour bus - it was a double decker city bus. We sat all by ourselves on the top deck - what a great way to view the city!

Day 6 of our Harbin Adventure, from the pen of Fifi!

12/24/2018 Ice and Snow World

On the sixth day my family and I went to Ice and Snow world. 2018 is the 20th year that Harbin hosted the Ice and Snow World.

20 years of ice festivals!

Ice and Snow world is a world with real things but made of ice and snow. For example a snow Buddha, snow ice slides, the Coliseum, castles, temples and bridges.

It was -25 degrees. We got there in the morning. My brother became sick. So, my mommy took him to the nurse until my dad and I told my mom to watch a show. There were dancing performances, trampolinings, and contortionisms.

Quite a large scale show! Great value as part of admission to the theme park!

After the show it was night time. All the colorful lights in the ice light up. It was beautiful.

To give a sense of scale...

Me and my daddy were waiting in line for a ride. While my dad was in line I played on the ice slide.

My brother and my mom went to eat dinner in a restaurant. They ate dumplings. When me and my dad got into the ride, we gave our sled to a police officer who will keep it for us during the ride. After the ride, we got our sled and went to eat dinner with my mommy and brother. I was so dizzy because of the ride. Then we went back into the hotel.
