In Part I, we checked into our very traditional Japanese guesthouse and visited the nearby Toei Kyoto Studio Park to get our fix of period film ambiance and action.
On the third day of our trip, we made our way to the Arashiyama mountains and boarded the world-famous Sagano Romantic Train, a 20 minute scenic train ride from the small town of Arashiyama to an even smaller town of Kameoka.
At Kameoka, we played in the stream for a bit:
Then, we visited a Shinto shrine nearby:
We returned to Arashiyama and visited their train exhibit and a nearby bamboo forest, where we got stuck in the rain for a good while!
Finally we headed back to the Randen station and made our way back to the guesthouse for the evening!
